breathe, in
look at the window
like what you see?
raining and raining
is what's in front of me

sunshine's a liar
it never stays on
you can't keep it close
and once you look
away
it's already gone.

wish you can touch the light?
feel the heat;
(get outside)
green and brown all over
and under your feet

wish you could wonder
how the feeling sets in
the water's rising over
it's time to begin

stretch your hands out
the warmth is a lie
what you feel now
is something going by -

fast, quick, slow.
go and watch it flow.
raining raining raining
on your hand;
the water's running

breathe out
look in the house and
like what you see?
or you don't
want to see

the rain soaks your shirt

you feel the cold
and so does the earth
